Why do my pages have a black background? 3 reasons:
Some people liken black backgrounds to being dark, subversive, or somehow "against society", but I don't see any difference between black and white for backgrounds. See, for my printing artwork, I don't use black. My theory is, since computer CRTs implement an additive color model, the best way for me to have good color contrast is by using red, green and blue as primaries against a dark canvas. For my printing demos, I stay with cyan, magenta and yellow for primaries and use a light canvas to stay with a subtractive model.
In other words, I'm making the statement "I like it, and I'm not making any statement." :)
